i wouldn't say i knew, but i had a stinking suspicion. valve has been very vocal in the past about not enjoying the ps3... no dev was named, and the grammar was horrible.

in certain games, where its done right and it adds to the realism, i don't mind it. like if it was a game like GTA4 and you were walking down the street and you see a pepsi add on a billboard and it looks like it should be there, that would be fine.... however there is a lots of really BAD cheap advertising out there... umm when when it USED to work when i wasn't online, (i mean really do i need to be online to play geometry wars or use the DLC for oblivion?) and then my 360 sh1t on me and NOW it doesnt work if my internet is down or im just not connected... well thats a problem dont you think? say i paid $30 for the shivering isles expansion for oblivion... why should i not be able to use it if im not online, its a single player game with ZERO online co-op of any sort.... hmm. i guess i should just be happy...
try using it when you are not online... thats where the problem is. what if my internet goes down that means i cant play on any expansion packs i downloaded on my original 360, i cant play marble blast or geometry wars, that means i cant use any themes i downloaded on my original 360... its dumb.
yeah but... 1gb is a lots of data to lose, the idea behind the cache is its fast TEMP data but what if you lose power? 1gb is a lot of data to just go 'poof'. the nand flash is solid state so you don't have this problem... i don't see this being a step better than that, its a step back.
